We're currently updating our list of past players who have made it to the AFL. Here's our list so far:
Glen Jakovich (West Coast), Allen Jakovich (Melbourne), Damien Gaspar (Melbourne), Travis Gaspar (West Coast), Brad Bootsma (Fremantle), Jacob Surjan (Port Adelaide), Clint Jones (St Kilda), Callum Wilson (West Coast), Cory Dell'Olio (Essendon), Cameron McCarthy (GWS & Fremantle), Dylan Main (West Coast), and our newest player - drafted at #27 in the 2021 National Draft - Jesse Motlop (Carlton).
Many WAFL league players have started their football journey at South Coogee JFC. We're working on a complete list of league players (it's going to take a while) - please let us know who we're missing and which WAFL team they play(ed) for.
But for now, here is a list of current or recent SCJFC footballers in the WAFL:
Dylan Main - South Fremantle
Ben Sokol - Subiaco
Regan Spooner - South Fremantle
Jason Maskos - South Fremantle
Jake Florenca - South Fremantle
Matthew Ward - South Fremantle
Nash Miller - South Fremantle
Jacob Warne - South Fremantle
Jacob Martinez - South Fremantle
Jesse Mirco - South Fremantle
Adrian Ricciardello - East Fremantle
Brendon Gulley - South Fremantle
Joel Palumbo - South Fremantle
Gavin Campbell - South Fremantle
Daniel Easter - South Fremantle
Mitch Cornell - South Fremantle
Danny Mosconi - South Fremantle
Steven Carradus - South Fremantle
Glenn Donald - South Fremantle
We'd also like to highlight Warren Mosconi.
Warren was a foundation player for Sth Coogee (1972) and was the first player from our club to play league and State football. Warren played 135 WAFL games with South Fremantle and Perth from 1981 to 1992 and 1 State Game for Western Australia against South Australia at Football Park in 1984. Warren is also a life member and a former coach.
Another interesting addition is Brett Dorey. Brett didn't play WAFL, but the 2.03m fast bowler played cricket for Western Australia - which also included 4 One Day International matches for Australia in 2006.
Oh when the Saints, go marching in,
Oh when the Saints go marching in,
Oh how I want to be with South Coogee.
When the Saints go marching in!
Oh when the Saints - Oh when the Saints, Go marching in - Go marching in,
Oh when the Saints go marching in,
Oh how I want to be with South Coogee.
When the Saints go marching in!
